Are you asking if the pecha boxes can be printed in color? Well, there's no reason they couldn't be. Is this something you would find useful or are you just thinking about it? It's just that I don't remember ever seeing a pecha with colored boxes except for very fancy pecha that were hand painted. L...

This is the reply to a question posted by "Guest" Feb 02, 2006 in the "version 1.8 released" topic. I'm moving it to this more appropriate topic. so then how do we type in these other fonts, in these is no key-map. I use for Sambhota #2 which is the same for the most part as TCC #1. PechaMaker is no...

PechaMaker version 1.8 released (Please read this)
Version 1.8 is now available for download. Be aware that files saved with version 1.8 will not be readable by older versions of PechaMaker. Once a .pxp or .pxc file is overwritten (saved) by version 1.8 you can not use version 1.7 or older to read the file. You can review the release notes here.

Printing double sided pecha
Hi Jeff, If I understand your request, PechaMaker already does this. Use the Pecha->Placement Controls menu item to set the "Pecha Pages per Sheet" to 3; then click Print and select "Odd Pecha Pages Only" to get 1, 3, 5 then click Print again and select "Even Pecha Pages Only" with the "Enable Rotat...

Version 1.8 delayed
There has been a delay in getting version 1.8 finalized.
I will need another week or so to get the tables reviewed that will provide folio numbers for Sambhota2 and TCRC Bod-Yig fonts.

Sambhota font support
Hello Colleen, Yes, I'm working on upgrades for better Sambhota font support now. The first phase is to allow Tibetan folio numbers in the Sambhota 2 font (or TCRC Bod-Yig). The second phase will be to add support for the Nitartha keyboard mapping. Phase one ETA, Dec. 2005; phase two ETA, Jan-Feb 20...

Sharing Texts
I agree, it would be nice to share texts and have more to study. It might also be helpful to see different pecha layouts that others have created. Examples are a great way to see what can be done. Please post your comments on this and post lists of what you have. If there is more interest I can add ...

Who needs Unicode support in PechaMaker?
I am trying to find out how many people wish PechaMaker had direct support for Unicode fonts. Currently PechaMaker does not support Unicode. If you have a document with Unicode text then you must use some other editor to convert the text to an ANSI font. If your editor supports RTF you can just copy...

Line count limits on pecha pages
Marcel has asked "Is there a way of getting PechaMaker to add more lines than 8 to a page as I need 16". Is anyone else being limited by the maximum line counts on the three pecha page types? Currently: the maximum on Title pages is 4 lines the maximum on Fancy pages is 6 lines the maximum on Body p...

It is not possible to type characters directly in the Annotation dialog boxes. Go to the main edit window and type the characters you want, and use Ctrl+C to copy the characters. Then go to the Annotation dialog and use Ctrl+V to paste the characters in the text field. You can only use the Delete an...

Colleen, Sorry, but PechaMaker only runs on Windows 98/2000/XP. If enough people ask for PM on Mac then I might be able to port it to OS X. At this point I don't even know how many people are using the existing PechaMaker so I have no idea if a Mac port is worth the effort. Thank you for the request...
