Re: PechaMaker 2.7 in Wine 1.4.1 under Ubuntu 13.10
Not sure I can help since I don't know about Wine setups. But here are a few questions: 1)What is the exact text of the dialog message from PM? 2)Does it work if you just copy the 5 TibetanMachine font files to the ~/.fonts folder in your Home directory? (PM requires all 5 files to work) 3)Do you se...

Space between the lines too big
Hello Sina By tradition, all the lines on a pecha page are the same height. So PechaMaker does not have a setting for different line heights on a given page. (The three Page Types can have different line heights and number of lines.) To put mixed fonts on the same page as you describe, you could try...

Installer updated to work on Win7
The installer was putting the wrong version of the TibetanMachine fonts on Windows7 machines. Thanks to Vicente for pointing this out! I updated the installer to fix that and put it on the downloads page today. (Only the installer changed; PechaMaker is still at version 2.5) I believe PechaMaker wor...

When to support Unicode Tibetan fonts?
Hi Jeff. Sorry for the delay, out of town again. It seems that you are very comfortable with computers and you are able to do the extra things it would take to make Unicode work. You are pointing out the very steps it would take to make it work so I am sure you could do this. However this is not tru...

When to support Unicode Tibetan fonts?
Hi Jeff, No worries, your English works just fine. I appreciate your questions because I think other people are wondering about these things too. I completely agree that changing to Unicode will make things much easier; for users and for programmers. Unicode is fantastically useful for handling Tibe...

When to support Unicode Tibetan fonts?
Hi Jeff, Yes, putting the correct usp10.dll file on PM's work path is all it takes to make it work. That seems simple enough to say and to do; but mistakes can be made even with that. My belief is that it is inappropriate to release without an installer that can take care of everything and assure go...

When to support Unicode Tibetan fonts?
Thank you for the kind note Evelyne. However, the news is not good. I have just returned from India/Nepal where I visited a half dozen Monasteries, the LTWA and TCRC and other Tibetan publishing organizations. I found that PechaMaker is appreciated and well received. However, I did not find a single...

Keyman EWTS mapping
I'm not qualified to answer this because I don't use the keyboard. However, it seems to me that EWTS Wylie doesn't need a stack key. Just the 4 keys sgr(space) will get you sa mgo ga ra tag. Chris, or someone at THDL, could you please post a link to the EWTS map? I don't really have the bandwidth (l...

Missing TCC characters on pre Vista systems
Hello Bj! Good to hear from you, and I'm glad you are up and running again. Was your plan was to copy an older XP usp10.dll over to the PM install directory on a Vista machine? I don't think that will help. I only have limited access to a Vista machine but I did try that and Vista somehow ignored th...

Missing TCC characters on pre Vista systems
SUMMARY: If you have a pre Vista system and you update your usp10.dll file then PechaMaker 1.x and 2.x may start showing blanks for certain characters when you use any TCC typeface. DETAILS: I have just discovered that the Uniscribe (usp10.dll) version that is installed on your machine will affect t...
